The workings of (Ozone applications) ODNZA03 ozone generator Odarid NZ Ltd

How is ozone made?

The ozone gas is produced from an electrical arc inside the ozone cell and a pump pushes that gas through the outlet pipe. Ozone is a gas created when oxygen (O2) molecules are split into two separate atoms by electric arcs with in the stainless ozone tube. The freed atoms recombine in three-atom groups to form cousins of oxygen -- or ozone (O3). Being a gas it is ideal for use in hard to get to areas for odour removal, sterilising and mould treatment. Its is also ideal for asthma and chemical allergic people as the gas is not residual and converts back into oxygen after approximately 20 minutes.

Odarid NZ Ltd have specially designed units made for us by a qualified engineering company to our specifications. The generators are easily maintained and cleaned with meths. They can be dismantled and cleaned after any dirty work or as an on going monthly maintenance if being used daily.

Maintaining the machine.

The advantage of the Odarid generators is the easy cleaning to ensure maximum ozone output at all times. Other machines are not easily accessed for cleaning and in fact most cannot be cleaned. A 5 minute job every month ensures you have maximum ozone at all times. See below for how to maintain your machine . The model shown is our ODNZA03 (2.4 grams per hour unit) but all models are maintained in a similar manner. Plese note : Machines that draw clean air may not require monthly cleaning however annual cleaning is recommended
